Presents Mike' and Durango's past pups

We've got extreme winter weather for our area right now.  The temp is below 10, and we have well over a foot of snow.  Some years we get no snow.  This is very special.   Daisy is constantly by Mike's side, and he's outside a lot right now because of all the winter animal care that he has to do.  She's doing great, although it's too frozen to duck hunt, so it's just play time.  She does worship the fire when she comes inside for breaks, but never shows signs of being cold or unhappy outside, and actually gets very upset if Mike goes out without her.  She's doing lots of little bird hunting in our garden, and just running crazy in the snow.  She's been a great dog for us with our kids. She's got a great athletic build that we really like.  These pictures aren't great, detail is hard to make out, but I hope you enjoy them anyway.

Hey Dawna,
Esa is doing very well.  I took her hunting yesterday and despite the low number of chukars she got a lot of experience.  She ended up doing her first point on some birds which resulted in a downed bird.  Her point was beautiful.  A slight lean forward and a crouch.  She held her point very well.

Hi Dawna,
Here are some pictures of Scout from last week.  He is doing great and is doing well with his training.  I think I'm going to try a NAVHDA test if he's ready, but if not AKC is having a few hunt test we'll try too. Hope everything is going well.

Sorry it took so long to get pictures of, now not so little, Grüner to you.  He is now officially bigger than Neah (Olive X Durango Pup '06), and from the looks of it, he has a bit of growing lift to do.  Grüner is doing great, and loves his big sister a lot.  She is learning to put up with him, as any big sister does her little brother.  He is more of a social dog than a ball hound like his sister.  He loves to wrestle and play, and took to water like he was born in it.
Hope you like the photos.  If you want I can send more, there are many, many photos of these two.
Thanks,
Ryan Bolin

Dawna:
We have had a much to busy of a fall, but here are a few shots of “Shy Sam”.  He is highly reserved, unless someone comes up to the ranch headquarters, then his protective nature comes out and overwhelms the visitors with jump kisses.
He has good hunting instincts and did very good on flushing this fall.  His retrieval is yet to get fine tuned.

Hello Dawna,
Tikka is doing great.  She has learned not to bite and I am getting her to stop her whining and barking.  She is a great dog.  She is pointing small birds on a daily basis and can retrieve very well already.  She weighs about 17 lbs.  Enjoy.

Hi Dawna!
Just wanted to send you some pictures of the kids on the east shore of Lake Michigan at sunset.  We stayed in Arcadia, Michigan for an extra day of 'down time' and tourist season is over, so the campground owner told us just to turn the dogs loose. They are both taking to traveling very well.  There's a great dog park nearby our campground, trails, fields, woods and a lake where they can be off leash and run to their hearts content.   Enjoy and I'll keep you posted. (Bohdi is a Beth X Durango Pup '06).
